Smartphone ownership has grown significantly, which is why it has made sense for Belkin a technology that lets people turn any Apple phone or tablet into a digital baby monitor.
Powered by Evoz, the WeMo Baby works over 3G/4G or Wi-Fi and can wirelessly stream audio from a baby’s room to the mobile device without having to carry an additional receiver. The device can work with multiple mobile devices.
The connection to the mobile device happens via the WeMo baby app that provides the unlimited access to the baby’s status. The app, at an additional cost, also features an optional upgrade service from Evoz that provides advanced monitoring, cry notifications via text or email, cry history information, and analysis of baby’s crying and sleep patterns.
The Belkin WeMo Baby (F8J007) will be available from May 1 with a RRP of $99.95. The WeMo baby app is free and available for download in the app store, and the Evoz premium service app upgrade is available for $5.49 a month.
